Dr. Carrie Gilstrap
Dr. Carrie Gilstrap is a Rheumatologist certified by the American Board of Rheumatology in 2009 and also board certified in Internal Medicine in 2007. She has special interests in inflammatory types of arthritis (rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis) and female and male osteoporosis. She completed her medical school training at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences and completed her Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at Oklahoma State University Medical Center in Tulsa. She served as Chief Resident during her residency and was named “Resident of the Year” at OSU Medical Center in 2007. She went on to pursue a Rheumatology Fellowship at Plaza Medical Center in Fort Worth, Texas, which she successfully completed in 2009. She also served as Chief Rheumatology Fellow during her Rheumatology training. Dr. Gilstrap is a member of the American College of Rheumatology, American Osteopathic Association, Oklahoma Osteopathic Association and American College of Osteopathic Internists.
